Inspiration, 2nd
Yes. Take two.
I don’t spend too much time watching News TV channels because there are always bad news. However, yesterday while waiting to watch a TV show I decided to switch over and over until find something else to watch while waiting, switched to CNN and there was something that caught my attention: One laptop per child project was on the news, I know this isn’t a “real new” because the project started years ago, the project itself is impressive however there’s something else that impresses me very much: the idea to let normal people to know about free software (as the whole thing) and show them a “product” that uses it, I like that, of course by normal people I mean people not deeply involved with computers but for their daily work.
That feeling appeared today when I was setting some preferences on the TV, a particular menu caught my attention (again), maybe because the term “License” is not so common, at least not on TV menus:
… that makes me think about people that says phrases such as “Free Software is gratis you won’t make any money at all” or “Oh wait.. you are using free software on your software, then you are developing insecure software” What would people say when someone tells them that at least one gadget they are using right now uses Free Software?
Is like: I hate it but I can’t live without it. Big cliché.
Update: I don’t know why, but usually I think one word and write another. Some kind of dyslexia?
Any fool can write code that a computer can understand. Good programmers write code that humans can understand.
- Martin Fowler
Even I fully agree with him, programmers is not my favorite word.
Saturday will be my first free day, my vacation starts that day, I’m hoping to spend a lot of time doing free-related stuff, I haven’t done anything recently and many things need to be done before this year ends.
Next year will be better.

Great weekend, both my sisters and I spent two days of fun, going to different places on Saturday and Sunday.
Summary: arrived to Mexico City at 05:00, ate breakfast and then went to the amusement park (all day there), after eating on Sunday we went to the concert!.
BTW, MCR has a great show, they played the best of their last two albums, people went crazy… both boys and girls screaming, I barely can hear.
Next weekend will attend My Chemical Romance concert on Mexico City, will leave Veracruz on Friday night to arrive Saturday Morning. My little sister likes so much this band, that’s the reason to travel, both my two sisters and I will travel.
They play great songs and latest album The Black Parade is a good recomendation to hear.
I’m guessing will have a great weekend.
I still don’t know why people doesn’t realize the bad security on Microsoft Windows and still uses it.
I went to print some stickers, after using the USB Memory on the shared computer and going back to home I found a great present on my USB filesystem:
The known autorun.inf trick to edit MS Windows regedit and copy the executable file into Windows root folder. Too bad didn’t work for me, I had liked running an edited regedit… oh wait I don’t have regedit.
